As the worship leader for the 830 service in my church, I am challenged with a question that I believe God has brought to my attention. “What is the focus?” Now Im not askin the regular where is the focus question that normally revolves around worship (you know the performance vs worship battle) but Im challenged with the thought of, What is the focus of the worship team? What kind of worship team are we going to be? What kind of leader am I going to turn into? How do we best serve the congregation as the leaders of worship to the Lord? What do I and the team need to focus on in order to bring Glory to the Lord.

…youre probably waiting for me to have some huge long blog about this, but to be honest, this is a something new God has brought to my heart. So Im making this known to invite you guys to pray with me and think about this as well so maybe someone and I can travel together through this. Throughout the next couple of months (my life really) Im going to be digging deep to find out what kind of worship leader I need to be and what kind of team that needs to be developed from the vision the Lord is giving me to ultimately bring glory to Him and how can the team best be affective in supporting our pastors vision for the church.

So stay posted. Im excited to see what God is going to reveal and ask yourself and pray the same questions with me in your ministry. What is the focus in your ministry? Obviously its to bring glory to the Lord, but what do you focus on in order to bring that glory to the Lord?
